The purpose of the SIUC Elementary Education Student Organization is to provide pre-service teachers of elementary education with resources and support services. EESO's goals are to assist students in developing skills which will enable them to become effective teachers in an elementary setting.
EESO is a Registered Student Organization of Southern Illinois University Carbondale. EESO will provide opportunities for pre-serivce teachers to attend conferences, earn scholarships, and acquaint themselves with other students in the program. The EESO faculty sponsor is Louise Stearns in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction.
